I am an artist who grew up among, and came of age working in the fields, fisheries, and slaughterhouses of rural Ontario, around the same time as they became destinations for ecotourism and weekend getaways for urbanites. This tension between the land and human cultures has become a core theme of my artistic practice and explorations. With a desire to connect as well as to complicate, I use my art to cast a revealing light on these relationships through animal myths, human desires, and the critical lens of queer and crip theory.
